Fat is Good to Eat
In the last two decades, the fat in foods have gotten a bad rap, most likely from a few, misguided studies that have linked this vital macro nutrient to heart disease. Food manufacturers have capitalized on these myths by exploiting the link between the fat you eat and the fat on your waistline. Because of this belief, entire lines of products have been created that did not exist years ago, ranging from fat free milk to the leanest ground beef.

How did humans survive without these innovative products from General Mills, Kraft, etc? Easy, we ate fat for its vital properties, including its ability to absorb vital nutrients, such as an increased uptake of the antioxidants like lutein and beta-carotene.
Another scary fact in creating these unnatural food products, is that something needs to replace the natural occurrence of fat When fat is taken out, sugar goes in, which is the real culprit for chronic disease and non-optimal nutrition. If not sugar, then artificial flavors and sweeteners are added, not much better.
